DJ Montay Talks Working on Jeezy’s ‘TM104’, the Evolution of Atlanta Music, Touring with T-Pain & More at the 2019 BMI Awards

On Thursday August 29th, some the biggest stars in Hip-Hop and R&B were in Atlanta, GA at the Byers Theatre – Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center for the 2019 BMI/Hip-Hop Awards.

The 2019 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards saluted the top songwriters, producers, publishers and administrators the past year’s 36 most-performed R&B/Hip-Hop songs in the United States from BMI’s repertoire more than 13 million musical works.


The night was also a celebration R&B living legend Brandy Norwood as BMI honored her great career. As some the BMI awards nominees and artist walked the red carpet before the BMI awards, Terrell Thomas spoke with Atlanta Hip-Hop star, DJ/Producer DJ Montay.


Having recently worked with Jeezy on his new album ‘TM104’, DJ Montay spoke on Jeezy, the evolution Atlanta music, touring with T-Pain and more.
