Donald Trump was in lockdown at the White House yesterday amid protests.
and tensions are certainly high. Of course, these protests are a direct result of the killing of George Floyd who was essentially stranged by a police officer. Last night, protests got pretty interesting in Washington, D.C., so much so that
President Donald Trump was being protected by an army of Secret Service agents and this morning, the President took to Twitter where he had quite a bit of praise for his Secret Service. Trump explained that his agents were ready for anything that came his way and even spoke about their weaponry.
Per President Trump:
“They were not only totally professional, but very cool. I was inside, watched every move, and couldn’t have felt more safe. They let the “protesters” scream & rant as much as they wanted, but whenever someone ot too frisky or out of line, they would quickly come down on them, hard – didn’t know what hit them. The front line was replaced with fresh agents, like magic. Big crowd, professionally organized, but nobody came close to breaching the fence.”
Once again, Trump is threatening violence upon those who might step out of line and we can’t help but be concerned for the protesters out there. It’s a dangerous scene right now and we hope those standing up for themselves stay safe.
