Drake Takes Shots at Kanye West on ‘Certified Lover Boy’

Amid their reignited feud, Drake had more words to say about Kanye West on his new album Certified Lover Boy.

On the song “7am on Bridle Path,” Drizzy appears to take more shots at his longtime nemesis.

“You over there in denial / We not neck and neck / It’s been a lot of years since we seen you comin’ correct / Man, f**k a respectfully, I just want my respect,” raps Drake.

Without mentioning Kanye by name, he blasts the Yeezy mogul for allegedly informing Pusha T that he had a son before it was public knowledge.

“I could give a f**k about who designing your sneakers and tees / Have somebody put you on a Gildan, you play with my seed / Trust me, there’s some shit you really gotta come see to believe,” he raps.

He continued, “That’s why your people not believers, they all leavin’ ya / You know the fourth level of jealousy is called media.”

He also appears to respond after Kanye shared the address of his Toronto home with his Instagram followers.

“Give that address to your driver / Make it your destination / Instead of just a post out of desperation.”

Adds Drake, “This me reaching the deepest state of my meditation / While you over there trying to impress the nation / Minds runnin’ wild with the speculation / Why the f**k we peacemaking, doing the explanations / If we just gon’ be right back in that bitch without hesitation?”

But he wasn’t done. Drake also took a moment to declare this the “Drake era” while alluding to Kanye’s “fall from grace.”

“Far as the Drake era, man, we in the golden ages / Look at the total wages / And look at the heroes fallin’ from grace in their older ages / If we talkin’ top three, then you been slidin’ to third like stolen bases.”

Drake appeared to diss Kanye with his verse on Trippie Redd’s “Betrayal,” prompting Kanye to share a group text in which he threatened to get revenge: “I live for this. I’ve been fu**ed with by nerd ass jock ni**as like you my whole life. You will never recover. I promise you.”

Kanye’s manager Bu Thiam told TMZ that Ye would be listening closely to CLB and could respond if he felt Drake was coming at him.
