With Drake’s “Toosie Slide” vying for a No. 1 position on the Hot 100 this week against the reigning champ, The Weeknd, the 6 God’s fun dance slid its way onto Diddy’s Team Love Dance-A-Thon Sunday night (April 12).
Before they engaged in their dance-off, Diddy invited Drake for a brief chat about his time on quarantine and plans for his upcoming album. “I remember the last time I had to sit down was when I tore my ACL, and I made a great album out of that,” revealed Drake. ‘Obviously, God has us all inside the house right now, sitting down. The amount of focus I’m able to put into this album is probably way different than it would have been if I had to go do the residency in Vegas.”
Diddy also gave Drake his roses mid-way through their conversation when he declared him a member of his top-five all-time rappers list. “Two years ago, three years ago, I didn’t know. With the work you put in, you’re in my official top-five. That’s right. Y’all heard it. Hits, hits. hits,” he said.
After the glowing praise, Drizzy, along with Diddy and his family, showed off their snazzy moves when the bubbly jam came on. Both stars flaunted their best Michael Jackson impressions while sharing laughs on-camera.
Diddy’s nine-hour Team Love Dance-A-Thon was designed to raise money for healthcare workers through Direct Relief amid COVID-19. Appearances were made by LeBron James, Jennifer Lopez, Lizzo, Snoop Dogg, DJ Khaled and more. Diddy and company raised a whooping $3.7 million along with a $1 million donation made by CIROC.
