Drake’s love life has once again sparked the attention of the media and fans. The rapper was spotted with a new mystery girl yesterday, and it took merely hours for her identity to be found.
According to speculation, Drake and 22-year-old model and Instagram personality Malaika Terry are dating.
“A track suitted-out Drake was spotted yesterday in Toronto, walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman, wearing a red tube top and some black air forces,” HotNewHipHop reported May 17.
Young Malaika Terry, who dons Jamaican and Ireland roots, has also been using Drake’s lyrics in her Instagram captions lately… which is the only hint fans are getting about their relationship. Neither of the duo has said anything about the rumors, nor have they been spotted a second time.

Speaking of Drake’s love life…
Remember when Ri and Drake were low-key a thing? The two fizzled out as quickly as they started up, without so much as a head nod. Fans ate up every second of it though. That is, until photos of the two together simply popped up less and less.
During an interview with Vogue, Rihanna touched on the topic… real slightly.
For fans wondering why RiRi stopped being next to Drake, keep wondering. Rihanna’s answer really only poses more questions.

While chatting with Vogue‘s Chioma Nnadi, the singer talked about her newest business ventures, getting older in the industry and her ex-flame. Drake was only brought up in the conversation after Nnadi referenced the year Rihanna won the Vanguard award at the VMAs. The Toronto rapper infamously presented Ri with the award during a lengthy proclamation of love for her.
According to Nnadi, Rihanna “[winced] slightly at the mention of the rapper’s name before her eyes [glazed] over with cool indifference.”
Rather than immediately comment on the reason she winced, Rihanna showed her gratitude for getting the award. “The VMAs is such a fan-focused awards show, so having that energy around me, and knowing the people who had received the award in the past, made it feel like a big deal,” she said. “Waiting through that speech was probably the most uncomfortable part. I don’t like too many compliments; I don’t like to be put on blast.”
After being flat-out asked about the status of her and Drake’s relationship, Rihanna answered, “We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies either. It is what it is.”

Of course, fans chimed in with their thoughts.
“Absolutely living for rihanna completely dismissing drake in the vogue interview. He really did make her vanguard award about himself,” a Twitter user said. “F**k him for that.” Another user added, “Drake took the spotlight away from something that was Rihanna’s moment so she cut him off.. her mind.”
“Drake professed his love to Rihanna live on stage and it annoyed her so much that she went in print to state that she doesn’t even consider him a friend now,” tweeted a fan. “Drake’s love for Rihanna was always too much to me,” another added. “Like you could tell she was trying to be nice about it but was really uncomfortable cuz he kept forcing the shit on herlol.”
