Dua Lipa's third single ahead of the release of her sophomore album Future Nostalgia is here.
"Physical," which dropped on Thursday (Jan. 30), describes an out-of-this-world love to a catchy, techno beat. "Common love isn’t for us/ We created something phenomenal/ Don’t you agree?" she opens the tune.
"Who needs to go to sleep, when I got you next to me?" she sultrily asks before an explosive chorus. It's the type of song you imagine jumping around with your friends at a club to.
And that's exactly what Lipa was aiming for. At the 2020 Grammys red carpet, she told Billboard that the song is '80s inspired and “quite Flashdance-y.”
“It's fun, you can dance to it,” she said. “It's definitely my craziest of high energy songs.”
"Physical" follows previously released singles "Don't Start Now" and the album's title track. Future Nostalgia drops on April 3, but in the meantime, listen to the new single below.
