Dua Lipa has already rang in the release of her latest album, Future Nostalgia, with a virtual party full of family and friends — and her fans were eager to celebrate it by showing her love in this week’s new music poll, too.
The “Physical” singer was far and away the winner of the survey on Friday (March 27), as her full-length earned well over half the votes (62%), making hers the release voters were most looking forward to. Future Nostalgia is the follow-up to 2017’s self-titled studio album debut, which made her a household name (largely thanks to “New Rules,” its insanely catchy single) and led to her best new artist win at the 2019 Grammy Awards.
5 Seconds of Summer‘s new album, C A L M, followed in second place with 12.5% of the vote. They’ve been teasing new music in a steady stream of singles since 2018’s Youngblood, their third album, and C A L M features “Wildflower,” “Teeth” and a few of these tracks that built up anticipation for their fourth effort.
