Elliott Wilson is a name that needs no introduction if you’re a Hip-Hop nerd. Not only is he a co-host of the Rap Radar Podcast, a legendary podcast where he gets up close and personal with some of the top artists in the game, he is also a versatile music industry executive.
From stints as the Music Editor of The Source Magazine in ’96 and the Editor-in-Chief of XXL Magazine in ’99, to a cherished career at TIDAL spanning over six years — Wilson has left no stone unturned in leaving his indelible mark on the culture. But of course, he is far from done.

Adding another feather to his (rather decorated!) cap, Wilson has now assumed the responsibilities of Editorial Directorship for UPROXX, HipHopDX and Dime Magazine in order to elevate the status of these coveted hip hop brands to new heights.
Beyond excited to help build with these amazing brands, creators & artists. Also pumped to work with @iamwill & @JarretMyer

In a recent interview with Billboard, Wilson also tipped his hat to established industry legends the likes of Jaret Myer, Rich Antoniello and artist will.i.am — all three of whom Wilson will be working directly with. This comes after the three recently joined forces to form UPROXX Studios post their acquisition of UPROXX, HipHopDX and Dime Magazine from Warner Music Group. If will.i.am’s enthusiasm is any indication, it seems as though the platforms will leverage AI in innovative ways to add more value to the radio and journalism space, although it is still unclear as to what these innovations will present the culture with.
Congrats, Elliott!
