A galaxy of British music and movie stars pulled together for a video honoring the U.K.’s National Health Service. In the clip posted by the NHS on Thursday night (April 2), the celebs hold up cards that read #ThankYouNHS, with Elton John saying, “You are our heroes and we salute each and every one of you. Thank you.”
The rest of the video features a string of famous Brits simply saying “thank you” to the frontline workers who are putting in long hours to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, which on Thursday passed a grim milestone with more than one million cases around the globe. Among those featured in video are: Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, Chris Martin, Stormzy, Bill Nighy, Ricky Gervais, Claire Foy, Eddie Redmayne, Ralph Fiennes, Kate Winslet, Daniel Craig, John Boyega, David Beckham, Piers Morgan, Gordon Ramsey, Graham Norton and many more athletes and actors.
Earlier this week, John hosted the all-star Living Room Concert For America featuring Billie Eilish, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys and others raised nearly $8 million to battle the coronavirus.
