After teasing the visual on Monday (April 2), Eminem is back with his video for “Framed” like he promised. As the title suggests, the track revolves around a fictional character in this case Marshall Mathers himself who is accused several murders he says he didn’t commit.
The video starts with a breaking news story and a reporter telling the viewers, “It’s been a terrifying two weeks in the city Detroit after Marshall Mathers, pressionally known as Eminem, escaped from an asylum.”
The reporter then interviews a detective who says the murder count is in the dozens as Em raps, “Don’t you see? I was framed.” From there, flashes bloody murder scenes continue to be interspersed between footage Shady in the asylum.
Directed by Jeremy Deputat, “Framed” is a far cry from his last fering, “River.” Instead relationship drama, Em explores the dark side a homicidal maniac.
“Framed” is taken from Em’s ninth studio album, Revival, which he released last December.
