Student-athletes that attend the various Jordan Brand-sponsored colleges across the United States are subject to a sizable amount of perks. One of those is access to some of the most sought after apparel and sneakers that the sportswear brand produces, especially footwear player exclusives. Every year, the Jumpman team blesses its gridiron warriors with special retros, and the latest to be unveiled is this Air Jordan 1 Low OG makeup that’s made for the Florida Gators.
Much like the previously-shown installments for Howard University, UNC, Georgetown and Marquette, this rendition shows off its school pride through its Gators-inspired colors. Nods to the Gainesville-based school are flexed through its sporty blue overlays, as well as the bursts of orange that pop out through the tongue’s Nike Air branding, forefoot and side Swoosh logos and the insoles, the latter of which come stamped with the official Florida Gators emblem. Tongues, toe boxes and quarter panels are done up with off-white backgrounds to create a contrasting effect.
Check out a detailed look at the pair in the gallery above, and note that they will not be made available to the general public.
For other news related to the sneakers space, J Balvin’s Air Jordan 3 collab is expected to launch this fall.
