Fonseca and Andres Cepeda have joined forces once again to release a new song and campaign titled “Te Entrego Mi Corazón,” to raise awareness of the novel coronavirus outbreak in Colombia.
Co-written by Andrés Cepeda, Juan Fernando Fonseca, and John Harby Ubaque “Dartagnan,” the inspiring song is a traditional Bambuco with heartwarming lyrics dedicated to the medical professionals and the wider Colombian community.
With this new campaign song, the two Colombian artists, who have postponed their joint Compadres Tour due to COVID-19, hope to not only show solidarity with the people of their country but also raise social awareness about the global pandemic.
“We want to put this song at the service of Colombia so that together we create this campaign of solidarity and hope,” Cepeda and Fonseca said in a press statement. “Our objective is to take care of the medical personnel and the institutions that are attending the COVID-19 crisis in our country and to make them feel accompanied and supported by Colombian music. Together we are going to make an impact and give them our heart and soul.”
“Te Entrego Mi Corazón,” which translates to “I give you my heart,” will seek to gather as many resources as possible to support the Cardioinfantil Foundation in caring for its medical personnel, and in obtaining medical equipment, protection gear and essential supplies so that they can continue to offer Colombians highly complex medical care during these challenging times.
The collaboration will form part of Fonseca and Cepeda’s “Compadres” joint album set to release late this year.

Basic protective measures against the novel coronavirus, according to WHO, include washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand sanitizer, maintaining social distancing at least three feet between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing, and avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
