Guaynaa, the Puerto Rican breakout artist made his Billboard charts debut last November with his catchy “ReBoTa,” has signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV U.S. Latin, Billboard has learned.
The exclusive, multi-year worldwide agreement includes “ReBoTa” as well as recently released single “Rompe Rodillas.” Featured as a Billboard Artist on the Rise, Guaynaa stands out for his brand of more pop-leaning, playful rap and his predilection for Hawaiian and polo shirts.
“There are few voices quite as distinctive and as original as Guaynaa, both from a songwriting and artistic standpoint. We can wait to be part of what’s next!” said Jorge Mejía, president/CEO of Sony ATV Music Publishing’s Latin American and U.S. Latin operations.
Added Guaynaa, “It is so gratifying to be part of the Sony/ATV family. It’s a huge responsibility as an artist, and it allows me to reach different aspects of the entertainment industry. Let’s get to work! The best is yet to come.”
