Guns N' Roses Troll Trump With 'Live N' Let Die' COVID Shirt

"Live N' Let Die With COVID 45"

A week after Pres. Trump raised eyebrows by blasting Guns N’ Roses‘ Cover of the James Bond anthem “Live and Let Die” during a maskless tour of an Arizona factory making N95 masks for the government, Axl Rose & Co. clapped back with a charity t-shirt slamming the president.

The timely merch from the band trumpets “Live N’ Let Die with COVID 45,” a seeming reference to the nation’s 45th president and his  chosen soundtrack, which many found offensive and inappropriate at a time when the U.S. leads the world with more than 1.4 million confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus and nearly 85,000 deaths.

The band has pledged to donate 100% of proceeds of the $25 shirts to the Recording Academy’s MusiCares program, which provides assistance to the music community.

Singer Axl Rose has been a vocal anti-Trumper for several years and recently got into it with the president’s Treasury secretary, Steve Mnuchin, who he deemed an “a–hole” in a tweet just after the secretary told Fox Business that the pandemic lockdown was a “great time for people to explore America.”
