Halsey and Kelsea Ballerini take on “Homecoming Queen?” together in a beautiful acoustic performance featured on the upcoming 70th episode of CMT Crossroads.
The pop-country superstar set shared the spotlight at the Ascend Amphiteater in downtown Nashville back in October to tape not just their live rendition of Ballerini’s hit “Homecoming Queen?” but also Halsey’s “Graveyard” smash.
“If there is any song that I wish that I wrote, it is ‘Homecoming Queen?’ by Kelsea Ballerini,” Halsey told their combined fanbase before both kicked off the stirring ballad with their sleek black guitars.
Unlike their electric “Graveyard” spectacle, the two women stripped down “Homecoming Queen?” with a consoling harmony fit for the titular subject’s desolation. The girl-powered team’s special episode of CMT Crossroads will air March 25 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CMT.
