Carly Pearce dropped her exclusive 4th of July playlist with Billboard on Wednesday (July 1), just in time for the holiday weekend.
The patriotic collection of tunes includes well-loved tracks by Martina McBride (“Independence Day”), Beyoncé (“Crazy in Love”), Shania Twain (Man! I Feel Like a Woman!”) and more, as well as Pearce’s own 2017 single “Hide the Wine.”
“I spent a lot of Fourth of Julys at my grandparents’ when I was growing up,” Pearce tells Billboard of her favorite memories surrounding the holiday. “There were fireworks, food and of course, a lot of great music.”
Pearce adds of her playlist picks: “I love listening to Martina, Shania and so many other female powerhouses that remind me why I do what I do. These songs also remind me of home and the summer memories I have that were spent with my family.”
Ahead of Independence Day, Pearce is set to appear during tonight’s CMA Summer Stay-Cay variety special, where she’ll be performing her 2020 single “I Hope You’re Happy Now” with Lee Brice, competing against Russell Dickerson and Dustin Lynch during the “’90s Country Cover Challenge” and more. (The special is set to air Wednesday, July 1 at 6:00 p.m. ET on the Country Music Association’s Facebook and YouTube.)
