Disney gave followers a first-look on the live-action model of the 1992 animated movie Aladdin on Thursday (October 11). The movie stars Will Smith because the genie, who was initially voiced by the late Robin Williams.
Though we (understandably) don’t get to see Smith within the trailer, we do see director Guy Ritchie’s tackle the cave of wonders, the place Aladdin — the diamond within the tough — finds the magic lamp.
When addressing whether or not Smith’s function within the movie would in any respect mimic that of Robin William throughout CinemaCon, Disney government Cathleen Taff described Smith’s efficiency as “a little bit Fresh Prince, a little bit Hitch and an entire lot of perspective.”
Smith unveiled the movie’s official poster on Instagram, including “I] can’t anticipate y’all to see me blue.”
