Damn, what an interesting week for new music. As we were all dissecting the Drake mixtape and Chris Brown and ‘s collaborative project, the hip-hop world exploded when none other than the self-proclaimed King of New York, Tekashi 6ix9ine, returned with a new single. That’s where things start off in the new TIDAL Wave playlist update.

Every week, the HNHH staff goes over all of the recent releases in hip-hop and R&B, putting together a list of our favorite bops and . 

Last week, Drake ruled the playlist and, seven days later, he’s still maintained a good number of his spots. From the Dark Lane Demo Tapes, we’re featuring “Time Flies,” “Landed,” and more.

Of course, this update would be nothing if not for last week’s new album releases. We were blessed with new music from Kehlani, who takes up multiple spots on TIDAL Wave. NAV also came through with an effort that surprised a lot of people, earning several spots as well. Another star rapper, Lil Durk, also finds his way on the list.
