Ice Spice Says Her Beef with Latto is “Just Dragged Out” by Her

Ice Spice says she really doesn’t understand why Latto is beefing with her.

A day before her debut album Y2K! comes out, on Thursday, July 25, the Bronx princess graced the cover of Rolling Stone, attempting to address rumours of her feud with the “Big Mama” rapper.

“I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare. It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me,” she said.

At the beginning of 2024, fans speculated wildly that Ice Spice’s song “Think U the Shit (Fart)” was a veiled jab at Latto. The music video for “Big Energy” was shot in Ice’s Bronx hometown, and the rhymer responded to criticism on “Sunday Service” in February by delivering what some saw as Ice disses. She also flipped Ice Spice’s single when Latto received a “Think I’m the s–t, b—h????” poop emoji cake after headlining Atlanta’s Birthday Bash concert in June.

“I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny. Like, bro, ‘Think U the Shit’ is from January,” Ice continued. “You’re going to post a piece of s–t cake to announce something that’s good news for you? But it is kind of a compliment because you’re taking something that’s supposed to be a fun moment for you and you’re making it about me again.”

In Latto’s Billboard cover story, she had downplayed the prospects of a potential rap fight with Ice Spice. “If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like Imma go tit for tat with,” Latto said. “I really don’t mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that?”
