Inside NEIGHBORHOOD’s Re-Opening of Its Shibuya Store

Shinsuke Takizawa‘s NEIGHBORHOOD opened its Shibuya flagship store in 2011 and has just renovated the space for the first time. Re-opening the store on April 29, the renewed shop utilizes modern design infused with NEIGHBORHOOD’s distinctive style. In commemoration of this, a capsule collection of thematic goods — including a collaboration between N/OH and NEIGHBORHOOD SRL — has been presented.

Beginning with the apparel, NEIGHBORHOOD’s “Bar & Shield” logo has been adjusted with a reference to the store’s address, including prominent “SHIBUYA” text in place of the typical “TOKYO” hit. This logo appears on a windbreaker, black and gray hoodies, black and white long-sleeve tees and black and white short-sleeve tees. NEIGHBORHOOD SRL tees have been prepared in collaboration with N/OH to round things out. Accessory options include a collaborative bowl with N/OH and seven one-of-a-kind plants hosted within the bowl.

Available now in-store, prices for the apparel begin at ¥7,700 JPY (approx. $57 USD) and go up to ¥25,300 JPY (approx. $186 USD) for the windbreaker and hoodies. As for the bowl, it lands at a ¥24,200 JPY (approx. $178 USD) price point with the seven special plants ranging from ¥550,000 JPY (approx. $4,035 USD) to ¥935,000 JPY (approx. $6,860 USD).
