Could a collaboration between Selena Gomez, Trevor Daniel and DJ Snake be in the works? According to a few recent social media posts, maybe.
The speculation about a possible team-up between the superstar, rising pop singer and DJ began on Saturday (June 20) when Daniel posted a mirror selfie wearing Gomez merch on his social media channels. Holding up a peace sign the Los Angeles-based singer tagged the superstar in the photo, who promptly reposted it on her own Instagram Stories.
DJ Snake then stirred the rumor mill by replying, “Can’t wait,” to Daniel’s photo of Twitter, along with a pair of eyes emoji.
While it’s unknown what the three artists could be cooking up, any new collab would arrive on the heels of Gomez’s smash 2020 album Rare, which features hit singles “Lose You To Love Me,” “Look At Her Now” and the sparkling title track. Her latest single “Boyfriend,” was released off the LP’s deluxe edition back in early April along with fellow bonus tracks “She” and “Souvenir.”
For his part, Daniel has been gaining momentum since his debut EP, Homesick, was released in Oct. 2018. The singer’s follow-up debut studio album, Nicotine, debuted at No. 79 on the Billboard 200 thanks in large part to the viral success of lead single “Falling” on TikTok. A new track would also mark DJ Snake’s second collaboration with Gomez, following “Taki Taki,” the pair’s 2018 team-up with Ozuna and Cardi B.
