Isaiah Rashad Opens Up About Sex Tape Leak, Says He’s ‘Sexually Fluid’

Isaiah Rashad is speaking his truth.

The TDE rapper sat down with Joe Budden for his first interview since a video leaked in February showing him sexually involved with two other men. During their candid conversation, which was released via the Patreon platform, the 31-year-old opened up about how he identifies sexually.

“I’m sexually fluid,” said Rashad, whose family was aware of his sexuality. “I’m not in full control of when I walk into a room who I’m attracted to. And just because I grew up in high school, I dated this type of person, in college I dated this type of person, doesn’t necessarily mean as an adult that it’s gonna always be specific.”

He continued, “I’m more attracted to like a personality, I’m attracted sometimes to the intellect. Sometimes just being attracted to somebody.”

When asked when he discovered his sexuality, he said, “It’s been a gradual thing over the past couple years.”

Rashad, who considers himself monogamous, is currently in a relationship with a woman. “Luckily I date somebody who has a similar understanding of themselves,” he said. “She’s putting me onto a lot of stuff that I didn’t even understand.”

Budden asked whether he’s had to explain the “internet sh*t” to his kids. “Nah, my kid’s six, man, and eight. We do Roblox and Super Why!” he responded.

He’s been focused on his family and has no plans to take legal action against the person who leaked the footage. “I’ve been keeping my mind together. It’s been a time for my family to come together,” said Rashad, whose grandfather died shortly after the tape leaked. “It’s been a concentration of family together, more than they had been before. If anything, I can’t be mad at everything about it. I always gotta look at the brighter side.”

Prior to the interview, Rashad addressed the sex tape leak during his performance at Coachella last month, which included a video montage featuring soundbites from Budden, Boosie Badazz, and The Game, all weighing in on the sex tape.

“I see all the messages and all that sh*t, all the positivity,” he told fans. “Y’all ni**as done kept me alive these last couple months.”
