Simply put, Whitlock doesn’t see much of a need for social justice these days and whenever racism is brought up, he is quick to dismiss its existence, at least in certain instances. He has also been critical of athletes like LeBron James, for standing up against white supremacy.

On Wednesday, Whitlock found himself hating on LeBron, once again,  In the tweet below, Whitlock claims that LeBron is simply posturing for social media and wants to make it all about himself. Whitlock even made a comparison to , which seemed a little bit uncalled for.

“This isn’t helpful. It’s twitter trolling,” Whitlock wrote. “It’s using this man’s tragedy to build a brand as more outspoken than Michael Jordan. There are all kinds of ways to draw attention to this tragedy. Suggesting that we are hunted everyday/every time is just shit-stirring.”

Whitlock was immediately blasted by members of the sports community who felt like his comments were out of line. NBA star Tobias Harris and former players Kendrick Perkins and Matt Barnes all made sure to call Whitlock out for being out of pocket.

LeBron’s foray into social justice has certainly been polarizing for some fans but when it comes to Whitlock, he won’t be coming around anytime soon.
