The wait appears to be finally over.
After 13 years of countless delays, Jay Electronica’s debut album A Written Testimony is on the verge of seeing daylight. On Tuesday (Mar. 10), TIDAL announced that they would be holding three listening sessions in New York, Los Angeles, and Elect’s hometown of New Orleans on Thursday (March. 12).
“It’s time,” the streaming service shared on Twitter, “We’re giving Jay Electronica fans an exclusive first listen of his album A Written Testimony with 3 intimate events.”
The startling announcement comes after the “Exhibit C” MC declared last month that his elusive album would be out in 40 days. Rather than fumble on his words, Elect looks primed and ready to drop his album with Jay-Z standing by his corner. On Tuesday night (Mar. 10), revered engineer Young Guru posted a photo of Electronica and Jay-Z locked in during a studio session.
Jay-Z and Jay Elect previously teamed up on 2010’s “Shiny Suit Theory” and 2014’s “We Made It (Freestyle)”.
