Jay Malakhi Releases Bouyant Alt-Rap Single, “Home”

Kent rapper Jay Malakhi releases his new single, “Home”, featuring fellow Paradise Highr collective artists Protagonist and Sym.

The sleek cut offers breezy production and lo-fi touches reminiscent of the Chicago alt-rap scene, bringing forth a homegrown spin on the sound. “Home” is just the fifth release by Jay Malakhi, though is strong enough to grab ears and showcase what’s going on in the Kent scene.

Jay Malakhi describes “Home” as a “coming-of-age track, realising that after 3 years of lack of responsibility I ultimately have to return home, even though I really don’t want to. My verse discusses my return home, how I left certain relationships in uni, working night shifts and warehouse jobs to make money.”
