Jhay Cortez kicked off 2020 recruiting two of today's biggest names in Latin urban music for his single “Medusa.”
Teaming up with Anuel AA and J Balvin, Cortez dropped a trap song with head-bopping bass that talks about someone who has a lot of money and a luxurious lifestyle. The title track even refers to the Versace logo, which is the head of the Greek mythological figure, Medusa.
Directed by Fernando Lugo, the music shows all three artists inside a neon-lit box as they perform the song and flaunt their bling. We also see Balvin rocking out his new Nike sneaker, a neon-rainbow-hued shoe with a pink-tinted sole that is the first collaboration between a Latin personality and Nike’s Jordan line. The music video was No. 4 on YouTube’s Trending page at the time of publishing.
Jhay Cortez, Anuel and Balvin are finalists at the 2020 Billboard Latin Music Awards. J Balvin has also been confirmed as a speaker at LatinFest+, presented by Billboard and Telemundo, taking place April 20-23 at The Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada.
