Joey Bada$$ grabbed the attention of the acting world starring as Leon in the popular Mr. Robot series. During the Brooklyn native's chat with Angie Martinez on Wednesday, Bada$$ broke the news that next, he'll play Inspectah Deck in the upcoming Wu-Tang: An American Saga series.
The "Devastated" rapper stated that the miniseries is still shooting but he expects the 10-part drama to hit Hulu before 2019 ends. RZA and Method Man are serving as executive producers, while Dave East has also been fittingly cast in the role of Meth. "We still shooting. But it comes out this year. It's pretty on point from what I've seen," said Joey.
He believes the series has an authentic feel and is definitely going to do the Wu-Tang Clan fans justice. "I like what they're doing. I like how they're doing it. The only thing with TV is it ain't a music video. There's no playback," he said. "You have to give your best performance and hope they pick the right take."
Outside of American Saga, Bada$$ is staying busy with other acting endeavors, as the final season of Mr. Robot has started production, and he will be make a guest appearance on Freeform's Grown-ish.
