John Prine’s Final Recording ‘I Remember Everything’ Has Arrived: Watch

John Prine passed away much too soon in April, due to complications with coronavirus. His music lives on, and his legend should grow with the posthumous release of “I Remember Everything.”

The folk hero’s final recording dropped after the star-studded salute to Prine which featured  Vince Gill, Jason Isbell, Kacey Musgraves, Bonnie Raitt, Rita Wilson, Eric Church, Brandi Carlile and many more.

The two-hour special Picture Show: A Tribute Celebrating John Prine aired Thursday (June 11) on multiple social platforms including the musician’s Facebook, YouTube and Twitch channels. During the service, viewers were encouraged to make donations to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Alive Hospice and Make the Road New York.

“I Remember Everything” was written by Prine and longtime collaborator Pat McLaughlin. Hitmaker Dave Cobb produced the song, which was recorded in Prine’s living room, according to a statement from the late artist’s estate.
