Even amid a nationwide quarantine, Jordan Davis has had an eventful past few weeks. The second anniversary of his debut album, Home State, was on March 23; his 32nd birthday was on March 30; and he landed his second No. 1 single on country radio on April 7.
Davis’ latest hit, “Slow Dance in a Parking Lot” reached the top spot on the Country Airplay chart this week, marking his second No. 1 (his debut single, “Singles You Up,” topped the chart in April 2018). To help celebrate the achievement, Davis curated a playlist that highlights tunes from other country stars, including fellow chart-toppers Old Dominion, Brad Paisley, Jake Owen, Rascal Flatts and Kip Moore.
Another thing Davis has in common with all of the artists on his playlist? He’s shared a stage with them — or will in the near future. Most recently, Davis was touring with rising singer-songwriters Hailey Whitters and Kassi Ashton on his Trouble Town Tour, which has been postponed until summer in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
Though Davis isn’t able to play shows now, at least he’ll have another No. 1 to celebrate with fans once he is able to hit the road again. “During such a trying time in our country right now, this is uplifting,” Davis previously told Billboard. “I’m very grateful.”

Hailey Whitters, “Janice at the Hotel Bar”: I have been a fan of Hailey’s songwriting for a long time. I think this is one of her best yet.
Kassi Ashton, “Hopeless”: This is probably my favorite Kassi song. The lyrics are phenomenal, and no surprise that Kassi crushes the vocals.
Brad Paisley, “Somebody Knows You Now”: Love the entire Mud on the Tires album, but I always remember hearing this for the first time and it being the standout from that record.
Old Dominion, “Some People Do”: It’s hard to pick just one Old Dominion song, but I think “Some People Do” is some of the best songwriting they have done, for a band with some of the best writers in Nashville.
Rascal Flatts, “Ellsworth”: Heard the demo of this song and loved it, and the Flatts crush this one — if you haven’t heard it, do yourself a favor. Just a great country song.
Jillian Jacqueline, “God Bless This Mess”: One of my favorite voices out there. All of Jill’s stuff is amazing, but this one is still my favorite.
Kip Moore, “Guitar Man”: This song is exactly who Kip is. Been on a few tours with him and this is the one that you could hear a pin drop in the room from the first chord.
Jake Owen, “Made for You”: One of Jake’s best. That last verse still gets me every time I hear it.
Chris Janson, “Drunk Girl”: Chris has some great ones, but I still find myself going back and listening to this one, it never gets old.
Chase Rice, “Ready Set Roll”: Chase was the first guy to take me out on tour and this was the song that got every crowd rocking.
