Spanish-language TV network Univision has promoted Julissa Bonfante to vice president, content publicity, Billboard has learned.
Bonafarte has been serving as director of corporate communications since 2016, playing an integral role in spearheading communications efforts around Univision’s digital portfolio. She will continue to be based in Miami and report to Rosemary Mercedes, executive vice president and chief communications officer of Univision.
"Julissa is a passionate and committed leader with a deep understanding of the Univision brand, including our content and digital narrative, as well as our broader business goals," said Mercedes in a press statement. "She has been instrumental in increasing awareness of our digital portfolio and I’m confident that she will bring that same creativity and tenacity to the publicity efforts for our leading multiplatform content."
With over 15 years in the industry, working in digital, corporate communications, media relations, executive positioning and brand management, Bonfante’s new role will be responsible for developing, directing and managing all publicity efforts for Univision’s leading multiplatform content and top-ranked tentpole events.
