We're only two days into 2020, and there are a ton of artists who've already set the dates for their new music to start this year with a bang and some bops.
Justin Bieber took fans by surprise on Christmas Eve when he promised a new single "Yummy" coming out Friday, a new album, a new tour and the new YouTube Originals docuseries Justin Bieber: Seasons. The Strokes also used a holiday (New Year's Eve) to announce the indie rock band's new LP is "coming out soon" when they debuted a new single "Ode to the Mets" while ringing in the new year at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.
Although hopes were high for Rihanna to drop her highly anticipated ninth studio album by the end of 2019 — especially after she teased fans on Instagram about "listening to R9 by myself and refusing to release it" — 2020 might provide the right timing for RiRi.
Selena Gomez is already set to drop Rare on Jan. 10, while Halsey's Manic arrives Jan. 17, Kesha's High Road turns up Jan. 31, Green Day's Father of All… comes out Feb. 7 ahead of the pop-punk band's Hella Mega Tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer, Tame Impala's The Slow Rush lands right on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14) and Grimes' Miss Anthropocene is out Feb. 21. But don't stop getting hyped now, because Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia, Ozzy Osbourne's Ordinary Man, Young Thug's Punk and Dixie Chick's Gaslighter are also reportedly on the way shortly.
