Kacey Musgraves Is Selling a Candle and it Has the Best Name Ever

The success of Kacey Musgraves’ Grammy Award-winning album of the year Golden Hour is allowing the country singer numerous new ventures. Most recently, Musgraves has gotten into the candle business.

The candle and intimate apparel brand Boy Smells has partnered with the singer for a new scented candle, aptly titled Slow Burn à la Musgraves’ song of the same name; the first track featured on her fourth studio album Golden Hour. According to Boy Smells’ website, the candle has elements of incense, black pepper, elemi, guaiac, raspberry, tonka, amber and smoked papyrus.

"Glowing and dark — incense, black pepper, and guaiac wood take center stage with whiffs of embers in the distance,” the candle description states. “A little dank, a little crisp: accords of smoked papyrus and amber add an earthy expensiveness.

“Commanding, but not in a hurry, like the last sips of a Negroni at the bar down the street, expressed through hints of elemi and tonka bean. The 'scentiment' of SLOW BURN is about pausing along the way to relax and enjoy exactly where you are right now.”

"I brought my song slow burn to life in the form of a smell," Musgraves also wrote in the caption of a photo of the candle on Instagram. "The scentiment is exactly what the song sounds like. It’s a little dank. A little crisp. Androgynous. Floaty. Earthy. Grounded. It’s the smell of a fire faintly drifting on the breeze as you walk to your favorite bar down the street and cherish slow sips of your favorite wine. Briefly thinking about strangers on the other side of the globe in Beijing rushing into work but you’re right here, admiring the fading colors of the disappearing sunset and enjoying exactly where you are in all senses.

"This was really a fun creative challenge for me and I’m a big fan of @boy__smells – a queer brand with Texas roots. Hope you love what we created."

The Slow Burn candle is available for $39 the company’s website
