Katy Perry revealed her Smile album artwork today (July 9), but her frowning face has KatyCats clowning around on Twitter with the best memes reenacting her circus act.
Cyn, Perry’s label signee, donned the same red nose and blue-and-white checkered outfit as the “Daisies” singer and wrote on Twitter, “ready mom @katyperry.” Meanwhile, fans swapped Perry for other pop stars such as Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Bebe Rexha, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, Selena Gomez, BTS and Blackpink to reimagine the cover. And of course, users spotlighted her fiancé Orlando Bloom and even her dog Nugget on there.
Perry will drop the KP5 title track “Smile” on Friday, July 10. “I wrote the title track from the album when I was coming through one of the darkest periods of my life and had lost my smile. This whole album is my journey towards the light – with stories of resilience, hope, and love,” she wrote on Twitter.
