Big news for the world of K-pop: KCON 2020 announced Thursday (Jan. 16) its dates and events in three different countries.
The Korean cultural convention and music festival will host four different events this year: two in Asia and two in the U.S.
The first will be held at Tokyo’s Makuhari Messe on April 3-5, followed by the New York leg on June 12-14, which will return to the Javits Center. The biggest portion will take place in Los Angeles on Aug. 27-30 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and the final leg of KCON 2020 will hit up Bangkok’s Impact Arena & Exhibition Center on Sept. 26-27. Concert venues for the Stateside events have yet to be announced.
Though the concert lineup for this year’s KCONs have yet to be announced, past years have seen the likes of BTS, TWICE, Seventeen and many other top K-pop acts performing over the past nine years of the event, which originated in California in 2012.
