Kelly Clarkson was scheduled to kick off her 2020 Las Vegas residency at the Zappos Theater in Planet Hollywood on April 1, but as the coronavirus continues to spread, the songstress has postponed her shows.
“As you may know, production on The Kelly Clarkson Show was temporarily shut down late last night,” Clarkson’s statement began before noting that the residency is pushed to July. “For now, please keep your loved ones close, safe and healthy.”

The cancellation comes following news that Vegas resorts are beginning to take action to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, despite no government mandates to limit the size of gatherings so far. In a memo issued to employees, a source said that Hakkasan Group’s human resources explained that Southern Nevada Health District is investigating the suspected case of COVID-19 at Wet Republic at MGM Grand. The employee is currently in self-quarantine and recovering at home.
