The movie’s accompanying album has spawned some massive singles including “King’s Dead” with Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Future and James Black, Kendrick & SZA’s “All The Stars” collab and “Pray For Me” with K. Dot and The Weeknd. Clearly, Kendrick’s touch on a project can help elevate a project, both critically and commercially. After a few months, the rapper and the rest of the Top Dawg Entertainment camp have another platinum plaque to hang on the wall.
Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg Entertainment’s Black Panther: The Album has officially gone platinum. TDE‘s in house producer, Sounwave, took to Instagram to share a picture of the platinum plaque. It’s a massive accomplishment for everyone in the crew because it was the first time they’ve done something strictly for a film. In addition, the project sparked three multi-platinum singles including “King’s Dead, “All The Stars” and “Pray For Me.”
It seems like Kendrick Lamar is probably used to albums and singles going platinum on a regular basis. Earlier today, it was announced that his
