It’s been an intense few days. A white woman named Amy Cooper dubbed “Central Park Karen” lost her job after she pretended to be in distress while calling the police on a black man who asked her to put a leash on her dog. Then, shocking news circulated after a video showing an unarmed, handcuffed man being suffocated to death by four Minneapolis police officers.

Both events, especially the latter, have caused people from all walks of life to step forward to vocalize their disgust. Singer shared a black and white photo of herself and wrote in the caption, “,’ but we DO choose ‘right or wrong.'” An Instagram user took the opportunity to tell Keri Hilson that she “ain’t talking about nothing” and only wanted to “show off [her] looks with [her] perfect lighting.” She didn’t appreciate the response.

“Ahhhh shut up. I gave a f*ck about a photo today. I’m angry,” Keri replied. “Found a pointless black & white photo in my phone to make a point on serious matters in my caption.
