Kid Cudi is ready to tell his story.
The rapper has announced that his documentary, A Man Named Scott, is coming to Amazon Prime Video on Nov. 5. He shared the first trailer featuring interviews, live footage, and fan testimonials.

The documentary also explores the darker side of fame. While his career was taking off, he was battling his own demons. “I just had a hard time dealing with the adjustments from being Scott to being Kid Cudi,” said Cudi, who went to rehab in 2016 for depression. “People look up to me, but I’m not a happy person ’cause I felt like a fraud. That’s what drove me to escape from reality.”
He hopes his story will help others on their pursuit of happiness. “I sacrificed the privacy of my life and put my story out there to help others. That’s always been my mission.”
Cudi has more film projects on the horizon including the Netflix movie Don’t Look Up starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. He has also collaborated with JAY-Z on a song called “My Guns Go Bang” for the soundtrack to The Harder They Fall.
