While they may no longer be married, Kim Kardashian will always have love for Kanye West.
The newly-single mother of four opened up about her divorce from her husband of nearly seven years during part one of the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” reunion special, which aired Thursday night.
When asked why their relationship didn’t last, Kim said there wasn’t one specific reason that led to the breakup.
“I honestly don’t think I would even say it here on TV, but it was not like, one specific thing that happened on either part,” she said. “I think it was just a general difference of opinions on a few things that led to this decision. And like, in no way would I want someone to think that I didn’t give it my all, or not really try. You know, we have four kids. There’s nothing that I think parents would want more than to see, or even kids want more, than to see their parents together.”
Shortly after shooting wrapped on the final season of their E! reality show, Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February, citing irreconcilable differences. They have agreed to joint custody of their four children–North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
“We have an amazing co-parenting relationship and I respect him so much,” shared Kim. “That was my friend first, first and foremost, for a long time, so I can’t see that going away.”
And while they’ve gone their separate ways, Kim will always support her ex. “I will forever be Kanye’s biggest fan. He’s the father of my kids, Kanye will always be family.”
In one of the final episodes of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Kim broke down over the couple’s marriage struggles. “He should have a wife that supports his every move and travels with him and does everything and I can’t,” she said. “I feel like a fu**ing failure that it’s like a third fu**ing marriage. Yeah, I feel like a fu**ing loser.”
In the wake of their divorce, Kanye has moved on and is reportedly dating supermodel Irina Shayk. The two were spotted celebrating his birthday in France earlier this month.
“Kim has heard the rumors about Kanye and Irina Shayk and she doesn’t mind at all,” an insider told E! News. “If it doesn’t impact her kids, then she doesn’t mind if Kanye dates.”
