has been in and out of prison for his entire adult life. He has had difficulty establishing a sustainable career for himself because of that fact. After falsifying information on an application to purchase a firearm, the rapper was harshly given a few years in prison. He has allegedly been , being locked away in a different state. However, he’s still keeping his spirits high and helping people where he can.

Although many of his positive doings are never publicized, Kodak Black does make many charitable donations and helps out his community on the regular. As reported by TMZ, a fifth-grade class at Pinewood Elementary School raised $17,000 by selling candy and washing cars so that they could go on a field trip to Washington D.C. The trip was supposed to take place in mid-March but, because of the COVID-19 outbreak, it had to be canceled. Until now, the class has not been able to get a refund from the Hilton hotel, who is asking for a $20,612 cancellation fee.

According to Bradford Cohen, Kodak Black’s lawyer who is also repping the Parent Teacher Organization, the rapper is volunteering to help out and cover the costs if Hilton decides to keep the money.

“@Hilton @homewoodsuites hates to do the right thing. Ms. Portia Wood at 202-580-7348 with Homewood Suites refuses to give these kids back the rest of their hard worked for money. Once again @kodakblack from prison volunteers to help out if necessary,” wrote Cohen on Instagram.

“The kid is great, a real kind soul,” he continued. “Defendants including #kodakblack aren’t what you read on paper and police reports. The rare occasion where he let’s me discuss the good things he does. I won’t mention any of the anonymous mask donations, food bank donations and gift cards that an anonymous client has donated over the last 2 months. Its time for @hilton @homewoodsuites to pay up.”

Shout-out to Kodak. Free that man.
