A plane carrying world champion boxer Gervonta Davis and several others crashed shortly after takeoff on Saturday (Aug. 21).
Kodak Black was among the 10 passengers and four crew members on board when the private jet experienced nose gear failure as it was heading down the runway at Florida’s Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport en route to Las Vegas sometime before 2 p.m. ET.
Just minutes after the crash, Davis went live from the runway to recall the harrowing experience. “The plane didn’t even take off. It took off, but it didn’t take off,” he said on IG Live, adding, “I’m good…I’m sweating, I’m shaking. This sh*t is crazy, bro.”

Luckily, everyone on the plane was able to walk away without serious injury, but Kodak Black complained that he was experiencing pain in his neck and his back.
“I Was On Dat Jet Wit @Gervontaa & I’m Not Ok,” tweeted the rapper. “Shittt Me , My Neck My Back all dat.”

The scary incident has made Davis think twice about flying again. “For everybody that want to fly private, I think it’s over with,” he said. “I’m driving or catching a train.”
In the same video, Davis shared his theory as to what happened, while one of his fellow passengers said the pilot had “no control of the plane.”
