Lady Gaga Postpones 'Chromatica': Fans React

In a longform note posted on her Twitter, Lady Gaga announced on Tuesday (March 24) that she would be postponing the release of her upcoming sixth studio album Chromatica as the global coronavirus pandemic continues to spread.

“This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us, and while I believe art is one of the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this, it just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic,” she wrote in her note to fans. “I know you are disappointed. Probably angry and sad. But I also know that as a fan base … we are the kindness punks. So I ask you to practice that kindness in these trying times.”

Some fans were upset at the news, asking Gaga why she would postpone a release at a time when fans needed new entertainment. Others quickly rushed to Gaga’s defense, posting messages of support and understanding for their Mother Monster.
