Lady Gaga narrowly retains her lead on the U.K. album chart to start a second week at the top with Chromatica (Interscope/Universal). DaBaby’s “Rockstar” (Interscope/Universal), featuring Roddy Ricch, starts a fourth non-consecutive week at the singles summit.
Chromatica stays at No. 1 by fewer than 600 combined units, according to the Official Charts Company. It retains its lead despite the fact that Lady Gaga has not been actively promoting the album since its release, out of respect for the Black Lives Matter movement both in the U.S. and around the world.
English indie rock band Sports Team’s first album for Island/Universal, Deep Down Happy, arrives at No. 2. In physical sales and downloads, the band comes out on top, also selling over 4,000 vinyl copies to lead that listing.
Maryland rock quartet All Time Low’s Wake Up, Sunshine (Atlantic/Warner) gets a big boost from its release on vinyl. Their eighth album debuted at No. 28 in April via downloads and streams, and reached No. 1 on Billboard‘s Top Rock Albums, but now reappears in the U.K. at No. 3. Lewis Capaldi is down 3-4 with Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent (EMI/Universal) and KSI’s Dissimulation (RBC) slips 2-5.
Singles-wise, DaBaby records another 7.4 million streams to hold on to top place, as Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s “Rain On Me” (Republic/Interscope/Universal) holds at No. 2. “Rover” (Parlophone/Warner) by S1mba featuring DTG is also steady at No. 3, as “Breaking Me” (Positiva/Universal) by Topic featuring A7S rises 5-4.
“Death Bed” (Robots & Humans/RCA/Sony) by Powfu featuring Beabadoobee moves back 6-5. “Dinner Guest” by A.J. Tracey featuring Mostack (A.J. Tracey) moves up two places to a new No. 6 peak in its sixth week. Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” (300 Entertainment/ RCA/Sony) climbs back 10-8, having reached No. 3 in May.
