'This is a message from Chromatica.'
Lady Gaga took to social media on Thursday (April 30) to share a new teaser image from her upcoming seventh album, Chromatica, and it sent her army of Little Monsters into overdrive.
“I love you, everyone,” Gaga captioned the post, which features salmon pink text reading “You’re my favorite” on a green background, alongside the Chromatica symbol the pop star first introduced while teasing the LP’s cover art and a giant gash ripped through the bottom of the image.
Additional text in the bottom corners of the post reads, “This is a message from Chromatica,” and, “The sixth studio album from Lady Gaga.”
Naturally, fans immediately went on high alert wondering what the cryptic post could mean, noting that the superstar also updated her YouTube banner and Twitter profile picture with the image. “LADY GAGA’S WATER WITH LG6 BROKE #CHROMATICA IS COMING,” one fan account tweeted, while another turned the love back on Mother Monster, writing, “You’re my favorite, Lady Gaga.”
While Gaga has pushed the release of the much-anticipated album from April 10 to an unspecified date due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, she’s steadily released hints and major details regarding the project in recent weeks from the futuristic album art to the LP’s tracklist, including upcoming collaborations with Ariana Grande, Blackpink and Elton John.
