Latin Music Live Streams To Watch In Quarantine

The coronavirus has greatly impacted the music industry, causing cancellations of concerts and events worldwide.

In order to keep la música en Español alive, Latin artists are getting creative on social media, performing live for their fans to bring them joy amid the stressful news cycle.

Latido Music’s Room Service At Home (every Thursday)

Latido Music launched its Room Service at Home series, including about eight episodes of Latin independent artists, such as Cheo Pardo and Salt Cathedral, performing straight from the intimacy of their homes. The episodes will air every Thursday on Latido Music. On Wednesdays, there will be Facebook Lives of Room Service with the participants, promoted by Latido Music. On each Facebook Live, there will be a space supporting a nonprofit organization in the United States in need during this critical moment of the COVID-19 pandemic.

VF7 (June 19)

Teen reggaetón artist VF7, and one of Billboard‘s Latin Female Artists to Discover During Quarantine, will be showcasing her first-ever concert live from the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot. VF7 becomes the second artist to host a virtual show from inside the renowned venue following Rauw Alejandro.

Carlos Vives & Ziggy Marley: A Conversation (June 14)

Carlos Vives and Ziggy Marley, together with the Providence-Eastern Caribbean-born artist, Elkin Robinson, will carry out a global conversation on “how music helps us to be inclusive” and “the importance of Caribbean music in the world.” The artists will also talk on how “El Hilo,” part of Vives’ Cumbiana album, came to life.  The official music video will premiere right after the chat.

Luis Figueroa, Coastcity & more – Latinx Virtual Music Fest (May 29 – May 31)

Luis Figueroa, one of Billboard’s Artists to Discover during Quarantine, is set to headline the three-day Latinx Virtual Music Festival, celebrating S.O.B.’s 38th anniversary. Other artists confirmed to perform include Coastcity, Tatiana Hazel, and many more.

Univision’s “Se Agradece” (May 30)

Celebrating the everyday heroes at the frontline of the global pandemic, Univision’s “Se Agradece” TV special will unite various Latin artists and celebrities to pay tribute to doctors, nurses, farmers, grocery deliverers, teachers, and others. The star-studded lineup includes Alejandro Fernandez, Alejandro Sanz, Calibre 50, Gloria Trevi, Juan Luis Guerra, Mana, Los Tigres del Norte, Rosalia, and many more.

CNCO, Becky G & More – OHM Live “Dream With Us” (May 29)

With virtual concerts becoming the new normal because of quarantine and social distancing, Rauw Alejandro is opting for something more creative. The Puerto Rican act will be hosting a live stream show, presented by Duars Entertainment, from The Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, the biggest indoor arena in Puerto Rico.

Fito Paez (May 15)

Coined “Paez en America,” renowned Argentine artist Fito Paez will delight fans with his second at-home concert during the quarantine. Paez will perform material from his new album La Conquista del Espacio along with his classic anthems.

“Music Lives On” featuring Anitta and more artists (May 1)

LiveXLive will launch its weekly showcase “Music Lives On” with three hours of live stream performances from the artists’ homes in benefit of MusiCares’ COVID-19 Relief Fund. As part of the series, Brazilian superstar Anitta will host a “Fan Q&A” at 8:00 p.m. EST. Destructo, Boombox, Clinton Kane, Doug Locke, and more artists are also confirmed.

Piso 21 is teaming up with Bacardi for a benefit virtual concert called “Juntos a Distancia.” The live stream will take place Saturday on their YouTube channel, where donations will be collected via Vaki.co for different Food Banks in Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Perú, Panama, and Puerto Rico.

“Mi Casa Es Tu Casa Live Music Series” by SBS Entertainment (April 24)

SBS Entertainment presents a one-hour, commercial-free live music series across some of SBS’s leading regional Mexican and Latin urban radio stations, such as El Zol 106.7 and La Raza 97.9, and LaMusica app. “Mi Casa es tu Casa” kicks off April 24 with performances by Pitbull and Calibre 50.
