The country star also performed his brand-new song "One of Them Girls" & raised money for Meals on Wheels America.
Lee Brice performed a Billboard Live At-Home concert Thursday (April 16) to raise money for Meals on Wheels America, which delivers food to senior citizens in need.
Brice got more acquainted with his latest single “One of Them Girls,” which he released just last week, taking it for a spin on his acoustic guitar (“I wrote this right before we recorded our last session,” he said), but the rhythmic track about a woman who plays hard to get relates to the difficult recording process for the country singer-songwriter’s next LP in the wake of a pandemic.
“I’m trying to finish the rest of the record, but I’m having to do it from the house alone,” he said about working in his small studio upstairs in his Nashville home. “So luckily, I learned how to run the studio when I was younger, so I’m able to kind of do that and get some recording done on my own.”
While teasing online viewers if they were “One of Them Girls,” the 40-year-old star maneuvered through the tune with his syrupy vocals about a girl who might seem sour at first but is really sweet. “I just love that the title could easily come across with a negative connotation at first,” he said at the time of the song’s release. “But, it’s so very much about that girl that all of us — deep down, at the end of the day, at the end of our lives — really hope to have loving us.”
