Lil Nas X Deploys Squidward Tentacles to Recruit New Beats From Fans

Lil Nas X is a big fan of collaborations. From his work with superstars such as Billy Ray Cyrus, Nas, BTS and many more, the young rapper hasn’t been shy about performing with major stars. Now, he’s preparing a brand new kind of collab — this time with his fans.

On Tuesday (July 7), Lil Nas X sent a message to his fans on Twitter, asking them to help him out for a new project he’s working on. Using a photo of SpongeBob SquarePants character Squidward Tentacles grabbing the eye stalks of the Krusty Krab’s manager Mr. Krabs, the 21-year-old star asked fans for their assistance.

“ALBUM’S ALMOST FINISHED BUT WORKING ON A MIXTAPE TOO,” he announced in the post. “ALL PRODUCERS SEND BEATS TO [email protected]!”

The tweet came after Lil Nas X began tweeting at his fans, who have been wondering when his new album would be dropping. When one tweeted that they were worried about the star’s album underperforming on the charts, he reassured them that he had a plan. “There’s no best time drop,” he tweeted. “Trust I will have a plan to make sure this album and every single single from it goes crazy on the charts and sound amazing too.”
