Little Big Town visited Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday evening (Jan. 29), during which the country quartet performed “Next to You” off their album Nightfall.
The band launched into a performance of the hopeful ballad with whispered vocals, instantly captivating the New York City audience. With stunning four-part harmonies at the song’s start, Little Big Town began the stripped down song in vocal unison with delicate strums of an acoustic guitar by bandmate Phillip Sweet.
As the beat slowly picked up and the band entered, Little Big Town further sing of a powerful kind of love. “Don’t you know/ You’re the fire in my bones/ You’re my heart and home,” the band croons. A song that details a partner having a difficult time who finds comfort in his loved one, “Next to You” soars three-minutes in and showcases the band’s powerful stage presence and mesmerizing vocals.
“Next to You” is featured on Nightfall, Little Big Town’s ninth studio album, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. The 13-song project was co-produced by Little Big Town, Ian Fitchuk and Daniel Tashian.
