Lizzo Knows She's the One for Herself, Calls on 'Queer Eye' Fab Five for 'Soulmate' Lyric Video

Turns out Lizzo is 100% her own “Soulmate,” so she enlisted the Fab Five from Netflix’s Queer Eye to gas her up in the new lyric video for the self-love anthem.

She dressed up her Cuz I Love You track from last year with a rainbow-colored animated visual today (June 26). Bobby Berk officiated Lizzo’s wedding to herself, which plays out on the screen when she sings, “I get flowers every Sunday/ I’mma marry me one day.”

The icing on top of the cake was Jonathan Van Ness and Lizzo shaking their hips and thigh-high boots in unison as their super fabulous hair waved in the air (and even swung in the air when JVN used his luscious locks as an actual swing.) But the iconic hairdresser used his cameo to prove an important point about Pride.

Lizzo @lizzobeeating & @queereye !! Link in @queereye bio if you need a little break between signing petitions, donating, and protesting this can be a few moments of fun ️‍ Remeber, Pride started as an uprising against POLICE BRUTALITY. Did you know that “cross dressing” was a jail-able offense and was often used to harass & detain trans and gender non conforming people?? All the way up through the early 70’s in the United States.

“Remeber, Pride started as an uprising against POLICE BRUTALITY. Did you know that ‘cross dressing’ was a jail-able offense and was often used to harass & detain trans and gender non conforming people??” the Queer Eye star, who identifies as non-binary, captioned his Instagram clip of the lyric video. “All the way up through the early 70’s in the United States.”

Even though Lizzo’s a queen who doesn’t need a crown, Tan France still styled the “Juice” singer and shot Polaroid pictures of her best real-life looks. Brandi Carlile couldn’t believe the “Juice” singer’s collaboration with the Netflix cast, commenting on France’s Instagram video, “O.M.G” with the Pride flag emoji.

After her neon silhouette shimmied on the stripper pole with Karamo, Lizzo eventually whipped out her flute to entertain Antoni Porowski, but the dancing corgi parade also did the trick.
