Logan Mize & Willie Jones Celebrate Youth on Infectious ‘I Ain’t Gotta Grow Up’: Exclusive

Logan Mize and Willie Jones team up for the infectious ode to youth on “I Ain’t Gotta Grow Up,” which Billboard exclusively premieres on Thursday (Jan. 9). With a thumping beat, warm harmonies and a live-in-the-moment attitude, the pair effortlessly complement each other on the feel-good tune.

“Ain’t Gotta Grow Up” details a night spent staying up late, stealing kisses while embracing a youthful zest for life. The Dan Agee-produced song was written by Kyle Fishman, Dallas Davidson, and Rhett Akins.

After continually hearing Jones’ name in music circles, Mize connected with the up-and-coming singer for the track as well as his 2020 tour.

“My old neighbor Eric Hurt is a label rep at Empire and he kept telling me about Willie,” Mize tells Billboard. “I was really impressed with him. He’s got his own unique style and he comes across really likeable, so I was interested in collaborating. Eric, my manager Charly and folks from Big Yellow Dog helped us put the pieces together and I just love the fun energy Willie brings to the track.”

The two collaborators will spend much of early 2020 on the road as part of the aptly titled I Ain’t Gonna Grow Up Tour. The trek kicks off Jan. 31 in Colorado Springs, Colo., and continues through Feb. 29.
